Resort and lake Lipno

Lipno nad Vltavou is situated on the left shore of the lake Lipno in altitude of 680 meters above the sea level and it is very popular international holiday resort. The lake is part of the National Park Sumava and it is the largest water reservoir in the Czech Republic (48 km long and up to 10 km wide). The Lipno Ski Resort is a unique five-star ski resort ideal for families with children.

Sports activities

1. Summer sports – hiking and cycling (in National Park Sumava), swimming (beach on lake shore and indoor pool Aquaworld), beach volleyball, all sorts of water sports including yachting, windsurfing, kayaking, paddling etc. on the lake (equipment rental available), canoeing or rafting of river Vltava (with or without guide), golf (18 holes golf course in the resort), bobsleigh track, karting, tennis, horse riding, fishing etc.

2. Winter sports - alpine skiing (apartments close to the chairlift to ski resort Kramolin - 12 km ski-slopes, snowboard-park, night skiing on floodlit slopes, snow blowing, special children lift), cross-country skiing (40 km of regularly groomed trails), skating (on the groomed lake Lipno), swimming (indoor swimming pool Aquaworld)
